Safety
Safety is a top priority and one subject that we take very seriously. It is our goal to keep all of our members and guests safe while enjoying our Chapter rides and events. Our safety section is here for your benefit as a reminder of the dangers we all face while riding.

Close Call on Hwy 471!
This video was provided by Glen Z. This is from a ride a few years ago when a group was riding on Hwy 471. The ride leader was running approximately 55mph (which is below the posted speed limit) this caused one driver to become impatient and pass the entire group, almost hitting a pick-up pulling a trailer head on. Ride leaders must be aware of your location and traffic patterns and adjust accordingly. On this stretch of highway, it would be acceptable to ride at least 5mph over the posted speed limit.
